Well here’s a direct mail drive that achieved just that.
Harrogate International Centre’s campaign focused on a small but targeted group of clients who had previously held events at the venue, sending each a personalised chocolate heart on Valentine’s Day.
Follow-up calls have already led to one association contracting their event with HIC and a five further events are still in the pipeline.
The success of the campaign shows that sometimes, the simplest ideas are the best.
This won Best Direct Marketing Campaign in the 2010 MIMA awards organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
