Nielsen What's hot in direct mail – June 2009
Author: Nielsen
Date: 29 June 2009
Nielsen's What's hot in direct mail reveals which recent campaigns are most popular with consumers. The report is a unique new ranking of the UK’s top 10 direct mail campaigns, voted for each month by an independent panel of 10,000 UK consumers.
Who are June 2009's winners?
June's winners are dominated by the insurance and charity sectors. A £50 discount from motor insurance newcomer Zurich was a big hit; ING took a softer approach and wrapped its home cover offer up in a customer newsletter.
Cancer Research UK, UNICEF, the Alzheimer's Society and Guide Dogs for the Blind used a variety of mechanisms such as raffles, pre-paid envelopes and free phone numbers to encourage donations from new and existing prospects.
Coupons for Persil's small & mighty liquid detergent and Kellogg's Rice Krispie Squares also picked up the popular vote.
