SCHOTT AG direct mail case study
Author: Xtreme Directory
Date: 01 May 2008
This mailing for SCHOTT AG in Germany aimed to convince the household appliance industry to use its SCHOTT CERAN glass ceramic cooktops instead of lower quality Chinese fakes.
The creative, by Gregor Aigner Werbeagentur, consisted of an envelope with a fake Chinese stamp and a 'return to sender' label placed inside another envelope which had a genuine German stamp (without a return to sender label). The message was simple – it's not a good idea to use fakes.
This highly targeted direct mail campaign led to 17 meetings with suppliers who were not using SCHOTT CERAN.
