In an exclusive series for Royal Mail Chartered Marketer and CIM Fellow Dee Blick, one of the UK’s best-selling small business authors shares extracts from each chapter of her latest book ‘The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book’ which reached number one on Amazon UK within 48 hours of its launch.

“As a young marketer, one of the first things drummed into me was that before I put pen to paper and started writing  sales communications I had to create a positioning statement for the business I was looking to promote," she says.

“A positioning statement is simply a succinct, clear and unambiguous description of what you offer. It comprises a series of bullet points. You may also have heard it referred to as a benefit statement.”
