Not everyone uses the Internet
Author: Mail Media Centre
Date: 03 November 2011
Whilst Internet access is increasing, there is still around one-fifth of adults who have not used the Internet in the past year.
This still equates to nearly 10 million adults. Many of those with money who are looking to spend do not have access to the Internet and are suitable candidates to receive direct mail.
This includes 53% of those over 65, 22% of women, 40% of those in social group E, 45% of Mosaic group Active Retirement, 40% of those who will enter retirement next year, 19% of those with children who will get married in the next year and 46% of those with Osteoporosis.
The key issue is that many of those with money and who are looking to spend do not have access to the Internet and are suitable candidates to receive direct mail.
