Ever wondered how people react to the mail they receive? With Nielsen's What's hot in direct mail you can find out which recent campaigns have been a hit with consumers. The report is a unique new monthly ranking of the UK’s top 10 direct mail campaigns, voted for by representatives from an independent panel of 10,000 UK consumers.

How does it work?

Each month they tell us which mailings grabbed their attention from all the post they have received, by putting a sticker on the mailings and sending them back. They can vote for as many as they like, or none at all, and tell us what engaged them about the post that landed on their doormat.

Who are May 2009's winners?

This month, the contestants range from big-hitters such as Tesco and Virgin Media, to charities Oxfam and Help the Aged, along with a surprise entry from the Conservative Party for June's European elections.
