Unaddressed mail forms a large and growing part of marketing campaigns.
This report looks at how it is received according to gender, age and socio-economic background.
Key findings include:
• 70% of women would open mail even if their name was spelt incorrectly.
• 76% of men will open mail even if they don’t know who it’s from.
• Only 26% of ABs will not open mail if they’ve had too much on the
same day.
• 74% of 35-44 year olds will open post despite not knowing who it is from.
