Good delivery drives online shopping
Author: Royal Mail

Home shopping is at its highest recorded level: 61% of consumers now shop from home, with 39% of those shopping online. And prompt delivery of goods is key to keeping online customers loyal.
This Royal Mail report highlights the importance of providing a good delivery experience to online shoppers. Delivery comes second only to price in decision-making, with 94% of customers likely to shop again from an online retailer if they're happy with the delivery service.
And a further 84% of consumers expect to see clear delivery information and options before they place an online order.
The report also sets out triggers for shopping cart abandonment, some of which are directly related to delivery charges or delivery options, and the priorities of different age groups when shopping online.
